Rampaging Chariots 2015
Shenfield Warriors and Sponge Bot Spare Parts have competed at Selex ES rampaging chariot competition. The robots took part in a robot wars like challenge and achieved 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the different challenges.
Team Shenners won the regional rocket competition with their rocket Betsy. Which reached heights of 812 feet. They were entered into the nationals were they came 10th out of 25. We are looking forward to re-entering next year.
Science and Technology event organised by Bloodhound held at Procat. Students got to drive the blood hound stimulator, programmed a car using meccano and raced it, and they got to explore 3D printing and built balloon cars
Team Shenners built a bridge to certain specification to compete against other Essex Schools which was organised by AECOM and hosted by Anglia Ruskin University. Shenfield high school bridge won holding a mass of 42Kg.
Crossrail came into the school and hosted an event for Shenfield students as well as Brentwood County High. Crossrail gave a presentation about the engineering and construction of Crossrail. Students undertook the spaghetti and marshmallow challenge. They looked at a key role within the engineering rail infrastructure completing a project management timeline for the construction of an engineering project.
